This track’s been getting a bit more buzz lately as a less obvious dance number off of Phoenix’s latest classic album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. The track doesn’t so much inspire dance in the traditional bass-driven way, but more in a bouncy pop way. The staccato guitar lines and soaring build-up act as a playful counterpart to the high-pitched synths. Another textbook example of a tightly written pop song from a group that made a living doing tightly written pop songs. These guys are going to rock Coachella this year. Speaking of Coachella, when are they going to list their set times!? It’s a week away!
